Apply for Youth Leadership

YOUTH LEADERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS

Eligible candidates must be high school sophomores or juniors when they begin the Youth Leadership Program. They must have the potential to demonstrate leadership in school and/or community activities as well as an interest in furthering their knowledge of St. Joseph County. Academic stability, good school attendance, and a commitment to full participation in the Youth Leadership Program are also required. Transportation to and from designated meeting sites for the program is also necessary. A selection committee reviews all applications and selects candidates who demonstrate the greatest potential for leadership development. Approximately 45 individuals will be selected representing a wide spectrum of experience, school participation, and diversity. In order for a candidate to apply, he/she must first be nominated.
